Happy Christmas Eve! 🎄🎅🏻☃️ I wish yo Happy Christmas Eve! 🎄🎅🏻☃️

I wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday!

Things look different this Christmas. I wish I could be home with my family, but I'm thankful for the invention of zoom and Facetime.

Today I'm going to relax, bake cookies and watch two of my favorite holiday movies:

Love Actually ❤️
&
The Holiday ❤️

How are you going to enjoy this Christmas Eve?
Science shows exercise improves your mood, floods Science shows exercise improves your mood, floods your brain with oxygen, and also increases divergent thinking.
🚴‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🚶🏻‍♀️🧠😀

Divergent thinking involves finding creative solutions to problems.

Were you ever stuck on a problem and then came up with an idea while working out? Have you come up with a business idea on a walk or run? Have you felt confident again after a run when just earlier you were doubting your ideas and abilities?

Our body tries hard to tell us that our brains need exercise, but we often aren’t aware of what these signals mean.

I’m guilty of this. I ignored my body’s signals for the longest time, not knowing what they were trying to tell me. Now I can stop and say, “Wait, I need to exercise,” instead of spiraling down further and thinking bad about myself.

Here are my signals:

Physical tension in my jaw and neck and between my eyes, restlessness (I’ll keep getting up and going to the kitchen or puttering around.)

My mental signs are feeling like I hit a wall, being scattered and unable to focus, feeling suddenly pessimistic about my ideas.

Now, once I consciously recognize these signals, I know I need to move my body.

Your signals may be different. I recommend writing down your signals once you discover them and then see if they improve after exercise.

I enjoy hiking and cycling most. These activities seem to clear my mind and help the ideas flow more than anything else. Often just a walk around the neighborhood is enough to feel better.

If you are suddenly feeling negative about your ideas or feel like you hit a mental wall, it might be time to consider that you just need some exercise instead of beating yourself up or feeling discouraged.

Go out and break a sweat, then see how you feel about yourself and your ideas.

How about you? Have you noticed any of these signs? Do you have a favorite exercise that clears your mind?
Can you relate to wavering back and forth on a dec Can you relate to wavering back and forth on a decision to go after your dreams? Or, which dream is the right one to go after? 😳

I’ve been doing it for years.

There is constant tension. Sleepless nights. Your inner voice is always talking. “Should I start this business or that business, or wait, maybe this one? This niche, that niche? Write this book, write that book? Should I even write a book or should I create video, or wait, maybe a podcast?”

You think you have it figured out, but then you read another book or watch another inspiring video that makes you question your choice. “Maybe I’d rather do this…”, you tell yourself.

This path or that path… a constant push and pull that creates anxiety and paralyzes us from making a decision.

What I’ve been learning is that in the beginning, few of us will know for sure which path to take. The point really is to decide to START our journey.

We won’t go anywhere if we don’t decide to start moving.

We have to start somewhere. Pick a direction, go after it and create momentum.

The more we create momentum, the more we’ll learn about ourselves, what we are really capable of, and what we really want to do.

We will learn more by making "A" decision than trying to make the "right" decision.

Just because we start on one path, doesn’t mean we have to stay on that course forever.

Like Dolly Parton says, “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.”

In the beginning of our journey, it’s okay and totally normal to not know exactly what to do. What we really need to be asking ourselves is, “Are we going to start walking or not?”

Can you relate to this? 🙌
